Plainfield Police Reveal Citations Issued In Memorial Day Campaign

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield Police Department issued 55 citations during its Memorial Day enforcement campaign, officials announced.

The police department joined state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois to participate in a "Click It or Ticket" campaign from May 16-27.

Here's a look at the citations issued:

• 46 seat belt
• 4 expired or suspended registration
• 2 speeding
• 1 child car seat
• 1 cell phone usage
• 1 uninsured driver

"Through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign, we helped make Illinois roads safer and spread the word that seat belts save lives," Sgt. Dino Dabezic said in a statement.
