Train Crashes Into Trailer Hauling Cars On Route 126: Plainfield PD
No injuries were reported in the crash, according to Plainfield police.
PLAINFIELD, IL — A train struck a trailer hauling cars Monday evening at the Route 126 railway crossing, Plainfield police said.
The crash happened at about 5:25 p.m. at the railway crossing at Route 126, just west of Center Street. The trailer was stopped in traffic, overhanging the railroad tracks, when a train, headed southbound, crashed into the car hauler, Commander Anthony Novak told Patch.
No injuries were reported in the collision, Novak said.

143rd Street, Naperville Road and Route 126 were blocked by the train following the crash. Roads reopened around 8:25 p.m.
