Werk Force Brewing Wins 2 Medals At National Beer Competition
The Plainfield brewery was the only one from Illinois to win two medals at this year's Great American Beer Festival.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Werk Force Brewing won big at the 2024 Great American Beer Festival, taking home two medals, making it the only Illinois brewery to receive dual honors at this year's event.
Held in Denver, the Great American Beer Festival brought together more than 2,000 breweries from across the country, with upwards of 8,000 beers competing for top awards.
"Werk Force Brewing shined in this competitive field, winning two silver medals, proving its commitment to quality, creativity, and craftsmanship," Amanda Wright, who owns the brewery with her husband, Brandon, wrote in a news release.

The following Werk Force brews took home silver medals:
- 2024 Humongous Sleepy Chungus Bear, a bourbon-barrel aged imperial stout rested on a blend of cacao nibs from Ghana, Ecuador, Haiti, Uganda and Madagascar vanilla
- 2024 Barrel Aged Stupid Sticky Fingers, a bourbon-barrel aged smores stout. It's a rich, pillowy imperial stout that Werk Force collaboratively brews annually with Rocky Reef Brewing from Woodruff, Wisconsin. This graham cracker, marshmallow, vanilla and chocolate bomb is a decadent stout.
"We are beyond thrilled to bring home two medals from such a prestigious competition," Amanda Wright said in a statement. "It's a testament to the hard work and passion of our team, and it’s incredibly gratifying to see our beers stand out among the best in the country. We're proud to represent Illinois in such a strong way."
