$1M Powerball Lottery Ticket Sold In Skokie

A ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball, was sold at Skokie Citgo in Skokie.

ILLINOIS — A Powerball Lottery ticket with five numbers excluding the Powerball worth $1 million was sold in Skokie, the Illinois Lottery announced.

The ticket was sold at Skokie Citgo, located at 5343 Touhy Ave. The winning numbers for the game were: 11-23-44-61-62 and the Powerball 17.

Saturday's Powerball $1.787 billion jackpot was the third-largest jackpot in the game's history. Two people, from Missouri and Texas, matched all six numbers.

Another player in Illinois also matched five numbers, excluding the Powerball, which was an iLottery ticket. Four players won $100,000 for matching four numbers and the Powerball, plus the game’s Power Play feature, and five players won $50,000 for matching four numbers and the Powerball.

There were a total of 276,728 winning tickets for this draw, with people winning anywhere from $4 to more than $1 million. The roll began on June 2, with more than 1.7 million tickets sold since. Illinois Lottery players have won almost $20 million in prizes.

The next Powerball drawing is worth $20 million, with a cash value of $9.2 million, and will take place Monday at 9:59 p.m. Central Time. Tickets — costing $2 each — must be purchased by 9 p.m. that day to be considered, according to the Illinois Lottery. For an additional $1 per ticket, players can add the Power Play for a chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes.
