2 Men Kill Each Other Wednesday; One Shot, Other Stabbed: Police

Police said a 38-year-old man shot a 44-year-old man Wednesday afternoon before the 44-year-old stabbed him. Both wounds were fatal.

CHICAGO — Two men killed each other in short succession Wednesday afternoon on the 1100 block of North Pulaski road, Chicago police said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified both men Thursday morning.

According to a police spokeswoman, 38-year-old Marcus Williams shot 44-year-old Claudell Tribble near a business in West Humboldt Park around 2 p.m. Tribble, significantly wounded from being shot, then managed to stab Williams in the back.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene, while Tribble was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died.
