In the three body cam videos released by COPA, police are seen walking through the home with weapons drawn as they try to convince Malvais to surrender.

"C'mon man, let her go," one officer is heard saying. "It's not worth going to jail."

Shots then are heard, and police are seen rushing to a bathroom in the house. One clip shows an officer firing into the bathroom, apparently hitting Malvais, although it's not clear in the footage. Another video shows police apprehending the wounded Malvais, and an officer is heard saying that a weapon has been recovered.
