“Broadview Seeing Tremendous Business Growth”: Building Commissioner
Broadview trustees on Monday night approved four new business license applications

(Broadview, IL) – The Village of Broadview’s top business official is boasting about a business boom in the west suburban Cook County town.
“Over the last year and a half, we have seen a tremendous amount of business growth in the Village of Broadview,” said Building Commissioner David Upshaw during the Board of Trustees’ Monday, September 18 regular board meeting. “We are seeing a lot of new businesses coming to Broadview as existing businesses expand.”
Upshaw highlighted multiple “major projects” to trustees that are in various stages of development, including: Housing Forward, Helios Labs, Chick Filet, and the 9,600 square foot Ironworkers Local 63 Architectural Metals Trainee Education Center currently under construction. The commissioner also noted that Broadview-based Vanee Foods is submitting plans for an expansion to their existing facility.

Additionally, Broadview trustees on Monday night approved four new business license applications, including: Patrick’s Dog Resort, Pest Pros Unlimited, Laundry World, and Wheatfield Fresh.
“We have made Broadview business friendly, and entrepreneurs are responding by opening their doors and are creating new jobs in Broadview,” said Mayor Katrina Thompson. “We are investing in our infrastructure – repairing roads, sidewalks, sewers and alike – as well as streamlining our business license application process to send a simple message to job creators: Broadview is open for business.”
