Delays After Person Hit, Killed By Metra BNSF Train: Officials

BERWYN, IL — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metra BNSF train early Friday morning, causing extensive delays for the city's busiest commuter rail, officials said.

A Metra spokeswoman said the person was hit at around 6:30 a.m. near the Harlem Avenue station in Berwyn.

Trains were running with residual delays by 8:40 a.m., she said.
