Lindop Recruits Top Educators at Northern Illinois University Job Fair

School District seeks potential K-12 educators for the upcoming school year

(Broadview, IL) – As part of Lindop School District 92’s teacher recruitment strategy, a team of Lindop of representatives attended the Northern Illinois University All-Majors Internship and Job Fair on April 30 in DeKalb to identify potential K-12 educators for the upcoming school year and beyond.

Hosted by Northern Illinois University’s Career Services, the fair served as a vital connection point between employers, such as Lindop, offering various opportunities and a diverse pool of talented students, alumni, and community members.

Representing Lindop School District 92 at the fair were Tonya Taylor, Human Resources Generalist; Maria Argueta, Special Services Administrative Asst.; Brianna Brown, 2nd Grade Teacher; and Scott Fleming, Middle School Social Studies Teacher.

The Lindop recruiting team engaged with undergraduates, graduating seniors, graduate students, alumni, and even non-NIU candidates, sharing valuable insights into the district’s mission, values, and dedication to fostering student achievement.

“Lindop’s presence at this event allowed us to directly engage with prospective candidates for full-time and part-time employment positions,” said Ms. Taylor. “We returned armed with promising resumés.”

Superintendent Dr. Janiece Jackson emphasized the district’s unwavering focus on attracting the best talent.

“Lindop School District 92 is deeply committed to ensuring our students learn from the most qualified and innovative teachers,” said Dr. Jackson. “Our participation in events like the Northern Illinois University Job Fair is a crucial part of our strategy to identify and recruit educators who will inspire and empower our students to reach their full potential.”
