Six People Shot on Single Block in Austin

A dozen people were recently shot in Chicago during a 12-hour time period, five of whom were wounded in an area of Austin that had been a violence epicenter the weekend before.

The twelve shooting victims on Thursday included five who were shot in the city's Austin neighborhood, according to The Chicago Tribune.

Those five were wounded in the first block of South Leamington Avenue — the same stretch where six had been shot in three separate attacks during the previous weekend.
