Chabad of Evanston warmly invite the entire community to the Annual Public Chanukah Menorah Lighting Ceremony.
This year’s celebration will be joined by Mayor Daniel Biss and Alderman Bobby Burns, and local politicians who will offer greetings and help light the giant public Menorah in honor of the Chanukah holiday.
The festive outdoor gathering will feature:
<ul>
 <li>Brand New 15-Foot Menorah</li>
 <li>Live Musical Performances</li>
 <li>A dazzling LED Robot Show</li>
 <li>A skilled Balloon Artist creating Chanukah-themed creations for children</li>
 <li>Traditional Chanukah treats, including dreidels, Sufganiot (doughnuts), and chocolate gelt</li>
 <li>Chanukah kits and menorahs available for attendees</li>
</ul>
The event is free and open to the public, and families with children are especially encouraged to attend.

Join the historical musical Abbotts Bromley Horn Dance to celebrate the arrival of longer days. Festivities end with a bonfire and refreshments. Severe weather will cancel the event.

Light Up the Night: 10th Annual Winter Solstice Parade of Lights

Singers and instrumentalists from the period performance ensemble Callipygian Players will offer a concert of Baroque holiday favorites. Strings, organ, and vocalists will perform ancient carols and luscious instrumental pieces that are sure to delight and fill you with holiday spirit.
