NEW TRIER TOWNSHIP, IL — The following information comes from the Glencoe, Kenilworth, Northfield, Wilmette and Winnetka police departments and court records as a record of police activity and incidents reported to the police. Criminal charges merely represent accusations by the state, and county prosecutors often choose to drop or reduce them. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Anyone arrested is innocent unless later proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
WILMETTE
INCIDENTS
NEGATIVE ONLINE COMMENTS
A Maple Avenue resident reported on May 7 that someone had posted disparaging comments on a social media account.

HOME BURGLARY
A resident in the 800 block of Westerfield Drive reported on May 8 that someone had gotten into their home and stolen an unspecified amount of jewelry. Police reported there were no signs of a break-in.
CAR BURGLARY
Someone stole a credit card and cash from a purse that had been left in an unlocked car parked at Plaza Del Lago, 1515 Sheridan Road, around 4 p.m. on May 10. Police reported the credit card was later used unsuccessfully in an attempted purchase in another town.

COUNTERFEIT CASH
Staff at the Five Guys, 3232 Lake Ave., reported on May 10 that another employee had two days earlier discovered a fake $100 bill while doing the nightly deposit. The fake money had been accepted as payment for a food order, and $83 in change was provided before the suspect — described as an 18- to 25-year-old woman with long straight hair who was wearing a dark orange hoodie and black paints — left without taking the food she had ordered.
TEEN TIKTOK TRESPASSERS
An officer encountered seven children walking down a fire escape staircase on the rear of the commercial building at 625 Green Bay Road around 7:45 p.m. on May 11. The minors told police they had gone onto the roof to record a video for the TikTok social media network. Police reported they told the juvenile trespassers to stay off the roof and released them to the custody of their parents.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
A 25-year-old Blue Island woman was pulled over around 11:45 p.m. on May 8 on Sheridan Road at Central Avenue and issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and with its registration suspended for noninsurance.
A 20-year-old Chicago man was arrested around 12:30 a.m. on May 12 and charged with driving with a suspended license after an officer pulled him over near the intersection of Lake Avenue and 8th Street. He was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no rear license plate light.
KENILWORTH
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
A 33-year-old Chicago man was arrested around 11 p.m. on May 8 and charged with driving with a suspended license after he was pulled over for speeding in the 300 block of Abbotsford Road.
GLENCOE
INCIDENTS
VANDALISM
On May 12, employees of the Glencoe Park District reported that someone had spray-painted graffiti onto a concrete pier that had recently been poured on Glencoe Beach. Police reported the defacement was removed and left no permanent damage to the pier.
NORTHFIELD
INCIDENTS
ASSAULT
Officers were dispatched to the first block of Landmark Road around 10:30 a.m. on May 9 for a report that one worker had threatened another worker following an argument. The caller did not seek to press charges.
PREMISE CHECK
Around noon on May 9, a business owner in the 100 block of Northfield Road requested that officers conduct an interior and exterior premise check due to being "unsure of some items inside the business." Police found no evidence of any criminal activity.
ILLEGAL BURN
Police were dispatched to the area of Rolling Ridge and Sunset Ridge roads around 8:30 p.m. on May 11 for a report of a burning smell. After officers discovered some smoldering mulch, they called in the Northfield Fire Department, which extinguished the small fire. Police reported they issued a verbal warning to a resident at the scene for the violation of the village's ordinance prohibiting open burning.

WINNETKA
INCIDENTS
IDENTITY THEFT
A Foxdale Avenue resident reported on May 9 that someone had used their identity to try to buy a vehicle online. There was no financial loss to the reside.
STOLEN CAR
Someone stole an unlocked car from a parking lot at 1007 Tower Ct. around 5 a.m. on May 10. The car was later found empty and abandoned on Interstate 94 in Lincolnshire. There was no estimate for the amount of damage at the time of the report.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Jordan Hernandez, 25, of the 3700 block of North Troy Street, Chicago, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. on May 9 in the 1000 block of Sheridan Road and charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol with no license, a felony, misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a valid license. He was also issued citations for speeding, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal squealing of tires and illegal transportation of cannabis.
Adrianno O. Bulut, 28, of the 2500 block of West Bryn Mawr Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 7 p.m. on May 14 in the 1000 block of Sheridan Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after investigation into a check of well=being.
