$10K in Jewelry Stolen from Hill Rd. Home

The Willow Road pedestrian tunnel was also defaced with permanent marker.

Someone used a black permanent marker to deface the Willow Road pedestrian tunnel between Sept. 20 and 23. Repairs cost $200.

Jewelry stolen from home

Someone stole more than $10,000 in jewelry from a home in the 900 bock of Hill Road between Sept. 10 and 18.

Identity theft

Someone made a fraudulent purchase and attempted to open various credit cards using a resident’s personal information between Aug. 29 and Sept. 18. Loss is $2686.

Warrant arrest

Leonardo Chan-Retiz, 19, of the 500 block of S. Milwaukee Ave. in Wheeling, was arrested Sept. 25 on a warrant from the Wheeling Police Department for failure to appear. He has a Nov. 6 court date.

Thomas A. Miranda, 45, of the 800 block of Elm Street in Winnetka, was arrested Sept. 25 on a warrant from the Park Ridge Police Department for failure to appear. He had a Sept. 26 court date.
