The Book Stall (811 Elm Street in Winnetka) is thrilled to invite back to the store middle-grade author Anna James to lead an after-school writing workshop on Wednesday, January 7 at 4:00 pm! Ms. James is the author of the new middle-grade fantasy, Alice with a Why. From bestselling author of the Pages & Co. series and Chronicles of Whetherwhy, comes a retelling of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland wherein Alice’s granddaughter finds herself tumbling down into Wonderland. Ms. James will talk about and lead exercises in writing Fantasy!

This writing workshop is recommended for kids ages 8 to 12. The cost of the program is $18.99, which includes a writer's notebook, after-school snack, and all other workshop materials, plus a copy of Alice with a Why! Ms. James will be happy to sign your copy! The fee is payable as you arrive at the workshop that day! (No pre-payment needed.)

Anna James (she/her) is a writer and journalist, as well as the author of the Pages & Co. series and Chronicles of Whetherwhy series. She was a school librarian before joining The Bookseller as their book news editor. She now writes for a variety of newspapers and magazines, and chairs events at bookshops and literary festivals across the UK. She lives in north London, in a flat full of books.
