Superintendent- This is Ed’s final year before retirement, and it’s hard to put into words what an incredible leader he has been. From making home visits, to knowing every student by name, to working side by side with parents and staff through every challenge—he has led with humility and heart. His selfless dedication has strengthened our entire community, and this year is a chance for us to honor the impact he’s made.

What should your community know about this person?

For me, Ed has gone far beyond what most would expect of a superintendent. He’s the one who answers a parent’s call when a child is anxious about going to school—and then shows up at their house to play a game or spend time just to help that child feel comfortable. He’s been there not only through challenges but also through triumphs and celebrations, cheering students on long after graduation. Over his 30+ years, Ed has known and loved hundreds of kids each year, and thousands of alumni, leaving an indelible mark on every life he touches.

What three words best describe the school hero?

Compassion, Kindness, dedication
