Local officials are reminding residents that they may face traffic delays, thanks to the Monday start of a new road construction project.

WINNETKA, IL - Local officials are reminding residents that they may face traffic delays in the wake of the Monday kickoff of a months-long construction project on Willow Road.
Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) workers have started the season's Willow Road Resurfacing Project. The work spans Willow Road from the Edens Expressway in Northfield to Provident Avenue in Winnetka.
In addition to a full resurfacing, the roadway refresh will include some minor curb and sidewalk replacements, according to a community alert.

Winnetka officials have asked IDOT to coordinate directly with those at Crow Island School to minimize and resolve any traffic issues associated with the project.
