Honorees include:
• Fronzie and Mags Roemer, the founders of Paws for Patrick, a nonprofit that honors the memory of their son and brother, Patrick Roemer, who suffered with depression and anxiety and took his life but found comfort in his beloved dog Cici. Paws for Patrick provides that essential support to young people with mental illness through the use of emotional support animals (ESAs) and therapy animals.
• Leslie Farmer and her husband Jim (posthumously), are being recognized for a huge body of volunteer work for both that included several dozen nonprofits that spanned decades. Everywhere they volunteered they both took on leadership roles and helped community organizations that needed their support. Orphans of the Storm was a particular focus for Jim and Leslie took over after his unfortunate passing to West Nile Virus.

• Susan Trieschmann, Founder of Curt's Cafe. Susan created Curt’s Café as a place where youth with challenging backgrounds and experiences could receive training and support in safe spaces like the Cafe where they felt accepted and welcomed. The success of the program is marked by only 4% of their students have been recidivists, and has been credited with "changing lives".
• Rick Rosenfeld, Expansive, Ongoing Refugee support. Rick has engaged multiple people in his effort to provide relief to the large influx of Refugees who have come to the Chicago metro area. Rick and his cohorts have created a "free store" in a local Deerfield parochial school that had closed. This department store of sorts, is filled with donations from the community of furniture and household items where refugees are able to shop free of charge to help them respectfully start their new lives.
