WINNETKA, IL — Without community leaders, Winnetka-Glencoe Patch wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

She serves as a Winnetka Park District Commissioner.

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

Colleen brought her skills as a lawyer to the Winnetka Park District Board of Commissioners. Thanks to Colleen, we finally have transparency. We are now able to watch the Commissioners’ meetings on Zoom. Colleen is very methodical in her examination of Board minutes and Board expenditures. She wants to have the Board responsible to the residents of Winnetka, not private interests.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?

Colleen is the hardest working volunteer I know. The Park Board Commissioners are not paid. They are volunteers who are vetted by the Winnetka Caucus.
