Winnetka's Caribou Coffee Will Re-Open as Peet's Coffee & Tea

The following is from the Village of Winnetka:

As has been reported in local news outlets, Caribou Coffee is exiting the Chicago market. Fifteen locations in the Chicago area, including one in Winnetka, will re-open as Peet’s Coffee & Tea, a sister chain. Winnetka’s Caribou location closed on August 23 for the transformation to begin.

As noted in a recent Chicago Tribune article, Peet’s will provide a “more upscale” product and store experience. Recent permit application documents show that Peet’s is investing approximately $175,000 to remodel the space. The Village looks forward to welcoming Peet’s to the Elm Street Business District this fall!
