Merrillville Gets a Little Sweeter with Nothing Bundt Cakes

Valerie Warnell and Tammy Oliver are excited about the opening of their second Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery, this time in Merrillville. The pair that came to love the cakes as well as the company’s values opened a bakery in Schererville in 2019 and now they are extending their joy to more of Indiana. “We believe that Merrillville is a community that values its residents and believes in supporting businesses that do the same,” shared Warnell. “We have already received a warm reception and look forward to celebrating with the community soon!” The longtime friends will celebrate with a ribbon cutting, benefit day and community events next week (see details below).

  • 4:30 p.m. – Ribbon Cutting with the Crossroads Chamber of Commerce
• Friday, September 16
  • 9 a.m.-6 p.m. – TradeWinds Benefit Day – 10% of sales will be donated to this organization dedicated to serving people with special needs by empowering them to realize their full potential.
• Saturday, September 17
  • 10 a.m.-4 p.m. – Free Bundtlets for a Year with purchase! Up to 50 guests will receive a “Free Bundtlets for a Year” punch card with purchase, which can be redeemed for one (1) Bundtlet per month for twelve (12) months.
  • 12-2 p.m. – Bring the kids to enjoy face painting!
