Merrillville Student Is Aspiring Doctor, Anti-Cyberbullying Advocate

Merrillville, IN— Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

How do you know the star local student?

He is my son.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Terrence is an honor roll student who wears many hats. He is in the band, plays soccer, and will serve as our Municipality Day Director of Parks and Recreation for the second year in a row. Terrence speaks often at his church and will soon launch his cyberbullying company to prevent children from being bullied online. He is an aspiring pediatrician who loves to read and learn new things.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Terrence is hard-working and never gives up. For him, failure is not an option. He doesn't stop until he masters a task.
