156 Carry Permits Issued in Story County in April

The Story County Sheriff's Office issued 156 gun carry permits to residents in April.
All permits went to individuals. Six of the permits were renewals.
In Iowa, state permits are necessary to purchase and carry handguns. No permits are required to purchase or carry rifles or shotguns.
