2013 Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Services in Ames

Several churches in Ames have Easter services planned for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Suday. The information found below was found on the individual church websites. Feel free to add any services not noted in the comment section.

Collegiate United Methodist Church-Wesley Foundation 2622 W. Lincoln Way, will hold a Maundy worship 8 p.m. Thursday in the Sanctuary; a Good Friday worship 8 p.m. Friday in the Sanctuary and sunrise Easter services at 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Sunday at Reiman Gardens. Easter breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Wesley Hall. Another Easter worship will be held at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the sanctuary.

St. Thomas Aquinas Church & Catholic Student Center will hold a Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday, 7 p.m. in the Scheman Building and a Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord on Good Friday, at 7 p.m. in the Scheman Building. An Easter vigil will be held 8 p.m. Saturday in the STA Lower Lounge. Easter masses will take place at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. in the Scheman Building.

Bethesda Lutheran Church will hold a “Passover” Meal 5:30 p.m. Thursday and a Maundy Thursday worship at 7 p.m. A Good Friday Worship will be held at 7 p.m. An Easter Sunday Worship will take place at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. An easter breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m.

Northminster Presbyterian Church will hold a Maundy Thursday service 7 p.m. and an Easter breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m. Sunday. The Easter service begins at 9:30 a.m.

Ames United Church of Christ will hold a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, a Good Friday service at noon in the First United Methodist Church and a 7 p.m. service at the United Church of Christ. An Easter service will be held 7 a.m. at the First Christian Church and 10:45 a.m. at the United Church of Christ.

First Baptist Church will hold a Maundy Thursday Communion Service 7 p.m. Thursday and an 8:30 a.m. breakfast and 9:45 a.m. Easter service on Sunday.

Trinity Christian Reformed Church will hold Maundy Thursday Service and Potluck 6 p.m. Thursday in the Fellowship Hall. A Good Friday Service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday and an Easter Sunrise Service will be held at 6:30 a.m. on the church's front lawn. A breakfast will follow and an Easter morning worship is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.

First Evangelical Free Church of Ames at 2008 24th Street will celebrate easter at 7, 9, and 10:35 a.m. Sunday.
