A Star For Every Student (photos)

DECA decks out Ames High School with stars.

Ames High School students were greeted with a hall of stars, this week, as part of a week-long celebration of Ames High School's DECA (Delta Epsilon Chi) marketing, management and entrepreneurship club.

Club members hung 1,700 stars from the High School's main hall. There's one for every student and teacher.

DECA Advisor Tim Siefert said the club decorates the hall with stars only about once every five years to keep the element of surprise. Students have spent the week looking up searching for their name instead of staring into their handheld devices, Siefert said.
