Ames and Des Moines Metro Events, When and Where: College Basketball, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber

Iowa State University students will head back to class on Monday and will have a handful of athletic events to attend in the days preceding the start of the semester.

ISU's Gymnastics team takes on Kent State 6:30 p.m. Friday in Hilton Coliseum and adult tickets are just $5.

ISU Men's Hockey will play Ohio University 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Ames/ISU Arena. Adult tickets are $10.

And on Saturday ISU's men's basketball team plays Texas at 1 p.m. at the Hilton Coliseum. The women's team plays TCU at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 to $25 for the men's game and $5 to $12 for the women's game.

Sunday the City of Ames is hosting Bring-A-Friend Day at the Municipal Pool near Ames High School. The event begins at 1 p.m. and admission is $3.

DG's Tap House will offer live music for a $5 cover both Friday and Saturday. Friday is Mr. Babers Neighbors and Saturday Deadnote will play.

Taylor Swift: Country star Taylor Swift returns to Wells Fargo Arena on Aug. 1. No word yet on ticket prices or an on-sale date. The event is listed on Swift's website but is not listed on Ticketmaster or its partner website. In nearby Kansas City, MO tickets range from $30 to $85.

Justin Bieber: Pop star Justin Bieber will also make an appearance at the Wells Fargo Arena on July 7. Tickets are on sale now. Tickets range from $40 to $95.
