Planetarium Show

The ISU Planetarium at Physics Hall will provide a brief presentation of what can be seen in the night sky. Shows are at 7 and 7:30 p.m. Friday. Free tickets are given at the door starting at 6:45 p.m.
Sidewalk Chalk
Sidewalk Chalk performs free for ISU students from 9 to 11:30 p.m. Friday at the M-Shop in the Memorial Union. Tickets are free to students and $10 for everyone else.
DG's Tap House Shows
Lucy Michelle and Velvet Lapelles performs Friday. The opening act begins at 9 p.m. The Poison Control Center, Christopher the Conquered and more will perform Saturday. The opening act starts at 8 p.m. Both DG's Tap House shows require attendants to be at least 21. Friday's show is $5. Saturday's show is $10.
Downtown Cleanup Day
The Main Street Cultural District is organizing a downtown cleanup day starting 9 a.m. Saturday. People should meet at Tom Evans Plaza.
Central Iowa Symphony
The Central Iowa Symphony season opener is 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ames City Auditorium. Tickets are $20.
Lulu's Magic Wand
Author and Illustrator Chuck Richards will read Lulu's Magic Wand 2 p.m. Sunday at the Brunnier Art Museum. The storytime will be followed by a scavenger hunt.
Collage of Choirs
The Collage of Choirs performs 4 p.m. Sunday at Stephens Auditorium. Tickets are $5 to $10.
