Ames High Graduate Doug McDermott May Enter NBA Draft

Doug McDermott was named AP All-American.

Doug McDermott, an Ames High Little Cyclone basketball star who graduated with Golden State Warrior Harrison Barnes, said he is thinking about entering the NBA draft, according to the Des Moines Register.

McDermott has one year of college eligibility left and currently plays for the Creighton Bluejays. A team his father Greg McDermott coaches.

“I feel like I’m ready and I feel like I can do some damage there. But I also think another year in college would be a great experience, especially with us joining the Big East. It’s a sweet conference, definitely something Creighton never thought they could see,” McDermott said according to the Register.
