In fact, Ames is one of 100 economic front-runners coming out of the recession, according to the leading executive magazine for corporate site selection and relocation.
In the magazine's 2013 Leading Location Report, Ames ranked 38 overall among 380 metro areas for economic and job growth and is noted for its strong healthy business climate.
The city is considered one of 2013's 100 leading locations. The annual report includes an overall ranking which is based on 21 economic indicators and category rankings of the metro area.
