Ames Police: 15 Cited in Operation Night Owl

Ames Police Department wrote multiple citations and warnings during Iowa Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau’s Operation Night Owl enforcement campaign on Oct. 20, according to a release from the department.

Ten drivers received speeding tickets, one driver was cited for driving with a suspended license, another was cited for operating a vehicle with expired registration, one driver was cited for failing to provide valid insurance, and one driver was cited for improper equipment. One person received a ticket for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Warnings were issued to nine drivers for exceeding the speed limit, one driver received a warning for failing to provide valid insurance, and nine drivers received warnings for various equipment violations.
