Ames Police Blotter: Assault and False Imprisonment

Ames Police Blotter Jan. 29 to Jan. 31.

Ziechieh Chua, 21, was charged with false imprisonment, domestic assault and fifth-degree criminal mischief after fighting with his girlfriend and pulling her down to a bed and holding her there, according to criminal complaints.

Police went to investigate about 6 a.m. Jan. 30. Chua's girlfriend said that she woke up Chua while packing and he became angry and threw her phone outside, according to complaints. She brought the phone back indoors and Chua grabbed it and smashed the screen before pulling her to the bed and pinning her, complaints said. Chua slapped her while holding her down, complaints said. Chua admitted to breaking the phone, pinning the woman to his bed and slapping her, according to complaints. Chua had band aides on his fingers due to cuts from breaking the phone, complaints said.Β

Jan. 29

Linnzi Keller, 36, Boone, was charged with fifth-degree theft at 5 p.m.

Mitchell Mosch, 22, Iowa Falls, was charged with false report of a crime at 7:30 a.m. for falsely reporting a vehicle stolen, according to complaints.

Jan. 30

Ziechieh Chua, 21, Tripp St., was charged with false imprisonment, simple domestic assault and fifth-degree criminal mischief at 5:41 a.m

Cole Magnussen, 20, Emmetsburg, was charged with interference with official acts, trespass and public intoxication at 10:13 p.m. for breaking into a home at Lettie Street and refusing to leave, according to complaints. Magnussen was β€œvery drunk” and had vomit on his face according to complaints.

Kolbe Stenoien, 19, Fredrickson Ct., was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, public intoxication and criminal trespass at 5:55 a.m. He was found sitting on the floor of Battle's BBQ and the front door was smashed, according to complaints.

Clayton Stevens, 21, Nevada, was charged with making false reports at 11:30 p.m. for saying that he saw an assault that he didn't see, according to criminal complaints.

Jan. 31

Austin Bishop, 20, Mortensen Road, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct at 10:46 a.m.
