
Ames police went to South 16th Street recently for a report of a fight.
When they arrived they discovered that two women had been fighting and one woman struck the other in the face, according to complaints. The woman who received the blow said she felt pain including a headache, complaints said. Shirley Walker, was charged with simple assault.

Desirae Haskin, Zearing, was charged with improper brake light and operating while intoxicated; first offense at 5:57 a.m.
Tyler Oelschlager, 25, Roland, was charged with operating while intoxicated, second offense; insufficient number of headlights and failure to prove security against liability at 2:53 a.m.
Luke Sims, 19, Sheldon Ave., was charged with operating while intoxicated, first offense at 4:24 a.m.
Shirley Walker, 45, S. 16th Street, was charged with assault with injury simple at 8:16 p.m.

Akot Akot, 26, Mortensen Road, was charged with failure to appear at 5:45 p.m.
Anthony Bader, 21, Baker Street, was charged with public intoxication at 4:54 a.m.
Dustin Clouser, 27, Pierce Court, was charged with operating while intoxicated, second offense; and failure to use headlamps when required at 1:17 a.m.
Jesus Gonzales, 23, S. Second Street, was charged with contempt of court and second-degree theft for shoplifting at 2:59 p.m.
Anthony Kugel, 20, Richardson Ct., was charged with public intoxication at 3:48 a.m.
Brian Malone, 32, Hodge Ave., was charged with public intoxication at 2:12 a.m.
Sierra Robey, 19, Des Moines, was charged with operating while intoxicated, first offense; at 4 a.m.
Derek Schipull, 23, Aspen Road, was charged with public intoxication at 2:10 a.m.
Natalie Vieths, 20, Sunset Drive, was charged with minors prohibited on certain premises at 12:01 a.m.
Samuel Vazquez, 23, Davenport, was charged with public intoxication at 9:57 a.m.
