Ames Police Blotter: Felony Drug Possession and Domestic Abuse

Police Blotter Jan. 1 to Jan. 3.

Two Ames men both of Coconino Road were charged with felony domestic assault for allegedly chocking or cutting off air or blood flow during separate alleged attacks on New Year's Day.

Vyagales Shaw, 21, was charged with domestic assault, a Class D felony, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at 3:42 p.m. Jan. 1.

And Timothy Tucker, 26, Coconino Road, was charged with domestic assault, a Class D felony, and interference with official acts at 10:25 p.m. Jan. 1. Class D felonies are punishable up to five years in prison.

Vyagales Shaw, 21, Coconino Road, was charged with domestic assault, a Class D felony; possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia at 3:42 p.m.

Timothy Tucker, 26, Coconino Road, was charged with domestic assault, a Class D felony; and interference with official acts at 10:25 p.m.

Brett Welch, 54, Nevada, was charged with driving under suspension, operating a non-registered vehicle, and barred as a habitual offender at 12:20 a.m.

Jan. 2

Emily Dirks, 24, S. 5th Street, was charged with drug possession/delivery marijuana, a Class D felony; possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class D felony; at 4 a.m.

William Dorrlacombe, 23, Kellogg Ave., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 11:15 a.m. and has since pleaded guilty.

Kyle Moore, 27, of S. 5th Street, was charged with drug possession/delivery marijuana, a Class D felony; possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class D felony; at 4 a.m.

Jan. 3

Manut Atack, 37, Tripp Street, was charged with interference with official acts, at 4:03 p.m.

Heather Bosley, 29, 24th Street, was charged with failure to appear at 8 p.m.

Jessica Korf, 21, Kellogg Ave., was charged with contempt of court at 7:48 p.m.
