A 63-year-old Ames man was charged with indecent exposure this week, after a neighbor saw him masturbating while nude through his front glass door and photographed him, according to criminal complaints.
Police went to a Timberland Road home about 5 p.m. Feb. 3, to investigate a report of a naked man visibly masturbating before his glass front door, complaints said.
The man denied it, but police were able to speak to one of the neighbors a day later. She told police that she was shoveling her driveway (across the street) and could see the man through his glass front door and that he appeared to be masturbating and that she tried to ignore him but that he continued his behavior, complaints said. She then took pictures of the man and he continued to stand in his doorway naked and she went to alert neighbors, complaints said.
