Ames Police Search for Speeding, Seatbeltless or Drunk Drivers

Be sure to drive sober, obey the speed limit and wear a seatbelt in Ames on Friday.

The Ames Police Department has planned a special traffic enforcement for that day and will be looking for driver's operating under the influence, speed violations and seat belt violations, according to a release from the Ames Police Department.

The special patrol is paid for though a grant from the Iowa Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau.
