Ames Public Library Launches Storytimes at Temporary Location Jan. 14

Storytimes went on hiatus as the library settled in its new temporary location, but Toddler Time, Baby Talk and Family Story Time will resume in the new year.

Ames Public Library will begin its regular storytimes at its new location beginning Jan. 14. The library reopened at 620 Lincoln Way at the Lincoln Center near Hobby Lobby and East HyVee in December so that renovations can begin at the permanent Douglas Avenue location.

Since the move, the library found a home for most events at the temporary location, but board and other meetings will be held at Ames City Hall and the Teen Advisory Group will take place at a yet to be determined location and other programs will be held at Fisher Theater, the Northcrest Community social room and the Ames City Auditorium.
