Ames Public Library Now Open
Just in time for finals week, the Ames Public Library will open at its new location Friday, three days earlier than planned.
The Ames Public Library will be open in Lincoln Center at 620 Lincoln Way starting this Friday.
Drop boxes to return library items are already available just outside the entrance to the new location.
The building at 515 Douglas Avenue is now beginning a two-year expansion and renovation that will double the size and add a full second floor and more.Β

Programming like story times are still set to begin in January.
The library's books, DVDs and coffee shop are located in the former Hastings Store and the administrative offices are set up three doors down at the former Harrison Sports store.
