Ames School Board Extends Contract with Taylor Ohde Kitchell
Board agreed to $1.4 million contract extension for construction management firms.
Ames Community School Board members approved Monday, expanding the district's current contract with construction manager Taylor Ohde Kitchell of Des Moines.
The firm in association with Lang Construction Group is currently providing construction management services during the construction of the Miller Avenue elementary school, the first of three new schools to be built in the district.
Monday board members voted to expand that contract to the construction of the new Meeker Elementary School and renovations at Mitchell Elementary School.

Taylor Ohde Kitchell would charge the district a total of $1.4 million, plus reimbursables, for the projects at Miller, Meeker and Mitchell.
