Ames Schools Seeking Bids For and Comments on Miller Avenue School Plans

Construction on Miller School could begin in March

The Ames Community School District is accepting construction bids for the first of three new elementary schools and is also taking public comments on the building's final design.

Voters approved a $55 million bond referendum for three new elementary schools and renovations of two others in 2012.

A school on Miller Avenue would replace Edwards Elementary and will be constructed first.
