Ames Stabbing Remains Unsolved
Ames Police continue to seek the public's help in locating a dark SUV seen in the area when the stabbing occurred.

Ames police have taken a material witness into custody after a stabbing last week, but need more information in order to solve the case.
Eddie Williams, 27, was taken to Mary Greeley Medical Center, with a stab wound to the chest 6:45 p.m. Jan. 9. Police believe he got into a fight with someone he knew in the 400 block of E. 7th Street.
Keytrick Mosley, 33, of Fort Dodge, was picked up on a material witness warrant in Fort Dodge and brought to the Ames Police Department, but the police continue to seek other potential witnesses and help in locating a dark colored SUV possibly a Chevy Blazer seen in the area the night the stabbing occurred.

Williams' wound required surgery. He was treated and released but hasn't provided police with any other information about what happened, according to a release from the Ames Police Department.
