Ames Weekend Weather

Ames residents can expect highs in the low to mid 50s through the weekend with some freezing temperatures overnight, according to the most recent forecast from the National Weather Service.

Friday's high is expected to reach 53 degrees. Saturday's high is expected to be about 50 and Sunday a high of 55 degrees is expected.

Lows in the mid 20s are expected overnight, however.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27. Northwest wind around 9 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 50. North northwest wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 26. Northwest wind 5 to 8 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 55. West southwest wind 5 to 14 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 36.

Columbus Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. Breezy.
