King Hosts Annual Pheasant Hunt and Military Appreciation Event

Active duty Guard, Reserve, and Veterans invited to attend - Former Congressmen Tancredo and Gutknecht are special guests

(AKRON, Iowa) – Rep. Steve King (R-Kiron) is hosting his annual pheasant hunt and military appreciation event this weekend, October 26 – October 28, at the Hole ‘N the Wall Lodge north of Akron, Iowa. King and his guests, including former Congressmen Tom Tancredo and Gil Gutknecht, will hunt Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday evening, beginning at 5:00 pm, King will welcome members of Iowa’s Air National Guard, Reserve, and veterans, along with their families, to the Lodge for a military appreciation event.

“This annual event gives me the opportunity to express my thanks to those who serve today as well as veterans,” King remarked. “Their service demands our respect. And we honor their families as well. I invite all active duty military and veterans from the area to join us.”

The Hole ‘N the Wall Lodge is located at 14396 Diamond Avenue, Akron, Iowa. The event will include a meal and fellowship. Questions can be directed to Ann Trimble-Ray by calling712-273-5745 (days).

 King is running for re-election to Congress in Iowa’s new 4th Congressional District.
