Big 12 Basketball Championship: Iowa State V. Kansas Final Score

Iowa State Cyclones lost to Kansas Jayhawks for a third time Friday.

Jayhawks won the semifinal Big 12 Championship round 88-73 and will go on to play Saturday for the championship title.

Both teams will play in the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

Iowa State Men's Basketball overcame the Oklahoma Sooners in the final moments of its first Big 12 tournament game Thursday 73-66, wining its first Big 12 Championship Tournament game since 2005. 

Tonight they will be up against the Kansas Jayhawks. And most Iowa State fans probably remember that the last match up against the Jayhawks didn't go so well. Kansas was able to tie the game from the free throw line in the final minutes thanks to a bad call and then beat Iowa State in overtime.

Cyclone Will Clyburn told Channel 4 that he's ready for a payback after losing twice to Kansas in the past season:

“They beat us twice during the year. Probably games we shouldn’t have lost, but, hey, I’m ready for payback," Clyburn said.

The game will be broadcast on ESPNU. But if you plan on traveling to Kansas City to watch any tournament game, the Iowa State Alumni Association has posted the following championship pep rally schedule which you can find below:

Semifinals Friday: 4 p.m. Pep-rally before the 6:30 p.m. game.

Finals Saturday: 3:15 p.m. Pep-rally before the 5 p.m. game.

Iowa State Women's Basketball came in second in their Big 12 Tournament in Dallas after a loss to Baylor Monday.
