Big 12 Basketball Tournament Schedule: Iowa State V. Oklahoma

Iowa State Men's Basketball team will play its first tournament game against Oklahoma 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Big 12 Championship: Iowa State V. Oklahoma Final Score

It's been eight years since the Cyclones won a tournament game and if the Cyclones beat the Sooners Thursday the team could face another match up against the Kansas Jayhawks, the projected tournament winner and possible No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament, according to Sbnation.com.

Iowa State (21-10 ) fell to the Oklahoma Sooners (20-10) 86-69 in a March 2 game.

Fox News said Iowa State is hoping they won't have to head straight home after the opening game.

"We're going to go down there and focus on it like it's a very important game, which it is," Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg told Fox News. "We're going to go down there with the right mindset."

The game will be broadcast on ESPN 2. But if you plan on traveling to Kansas City to watch the any tournament game, the Iowa State Alumni Association has posted the following tournament pep rally schedule which you can find below:

Quarterfinals Thursday: 10 a.m. Pep-rally before the 11:30 a.m. game.

Semifinals Friday: 4 p.m. Pep-rally before the 6:30 p.m. game.

Finals Saturday: 3:15 p.m. Pep-rally before the 5 p.m. game.

Iowa State Women's Basketball came in second in their Big 12 Tournament in Dallas after a loss to Baylor Monday.
