Christmas Tree Drop Off Schedule in Ames

Ames residents who have yet to pitch their live trees can drop them off from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Parks & Recreation Maintenance Shop, 1125 E. 13th Street.

The chipper will be running and all trees will be recycled into chips and scattered in city parks.

Anyone who can't make it Friday or Saturday can drop off their tree during daylight hours through January.

Most people know this, but the tree stand, tinsel and ornaments should be removed before drop off.
