Did a Snowplow Damage Your Yard
Now that the snow has melted, the City of Ames is asking for people to report possible property damage.

Ames residents who believe snow plows damaged their sod should contact the City’s Public Works Department, according to a press release from the city.

Warm weather prior to the first snow kept the ground soft when crews were working to push snow back, so more sod damage than usual was done. The Department is aware there may be areas in need of repair.
“We will be driving around to check for damage, but if someone wants to report property we should examine, they can always contact us,” said Public Works Operations Manager Corey Mellies.
Residents may send an email with an address to: snowstreets@city.ames.ia.us or call Dave Cole, Streets Superintendent at 515.239.55548.
