Doug McDermott's NBA Draft Decision
Ames High School graduate Doug McDermott has his mind made up.

Doug McDermott, an Ames High Little Cyclone basketball star who graduated with Golden State Warrior Harrison Barnes, has decided to play college ball for one more year, rather than enter the NBA draft, according to the Des Moines Register.
McDermott currently plays for his father Greg McDermott coach of the Creighton Bluejays.
“This is where my heart’s at,” McDermott told the Register. “The NBA can wait. I feel like I can play there some day, but I feel like this is too good an opportunity to pass up.”
