Draco Causes Small Power Outage in Ames
The City of Ames reported a power outage between Grand and Northwestern avenues.
The City of Ames reported that power was restored to about 500 electric customers just before 3 p.m. The outage occurred when a power line fell about 11 a.m. Thursday.
The outage included homes between Main and 13th streets and between Grand and Northwestern avenues.
The primary power line fell in the 1000 block of Northwestern Avenue in the railroad right of way.

According to the release, the line caught fire and burned a cross arm on the pole.
