Drug Task Force Finds 2 Pounds of Marijuana
Ames man faces felony drug charges after search of Welch Avenue apartment.

A 26-year-old Ames man could spend 10 years in prison for having more than two pounds of marijuana in his apartment, according to criminal complaints.
Members of the Central Iowa Drug Task Force found 2.1 pounds of marijuana in Matthew Allan Braun's Welch Avenue apartment July 26, complaints said.
About 430 grams was in one large bag and there were several other bags of marijuana as well, complaints said. Officers also found a glass pipe and a bong, complaints said.

Braun was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, a Class D felony, and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class D felony, on Wednesday July 31.
Class D felonies are punishable by up to five years in prison. Â
