Hooray for Habitat

April 3 --Β Story County ConservationΒ PartnersΒ invite you to attend their annual Spring Festival on Sunday, May 5, from 2-5 p.m. at McFarland Park (56461 180th Street) northeast of Ames.

Hooray for Habitat! Come use your imagination with naturalist David Stokes. Using live creatures, animal artifacts, songs, and short stories, Stokes gets down with his audiences and makes learning fun. Stokes will perform at 2:15, 3:15 and 4:15. His performance is supported by the Ames Community Grant Program.

What is a habitat? There will be plenty of ways to find the answer through displays, crafts, and activities. There will also be canoeing with the Skunk River Paddlers, fishing pole check-out, solar viewing with the Ames Area Amateur Astronomers, theΒ PartnersΒ Photo Contest display, plus free popcorn, cookies, and lemonade.
