Rossmann Manatt lecture: Link between law enforcement, chronic illness?

 

AMES, Iowa — Environmental factors may increase the chance for cardiovascular disease and other chronic health issues in law enforcement officers, according to research by an Iowa State University professor.

 

Warren Franke, a kinesiology professor and winner of the 2012 Rossmann Manatt faculty development award, will talk about his research at an upcoming lecture titled, “Cardiovascular Risk in Public Safety Personnel:  Is it the Job or the Doughnuts?”  

 

The lecture will be held 1:10 p.m. Feb. 22 in the Gallery Room of Memorial Union. It is open to the public.
